Opera with a French accent
Passionate about opera and operettas alike from a very young age, Artistic Director Simon Charette decided to found L’Opéra Comique de Washington in 2023. With a predilection for operettas and lighter works, the OCW specializes in the French lyrical repertoire.
L'Opéra Comique de Washington's mission is to expose the Nation’s capital to French operetta and give performance opportunities to young and up-coming talents.
